Nieka came to the University of Washington with the intention of studying graphic design. After finding that her interest was in the beautiful combination of technical and artistic skills, architecture felt like the right fit. When she is not working on class work or searching for her first architectural job, you might find her somewhere in the mountains accompanied by a big backpack on a grueling hike, in a children’s book store studying illustrations, sipping red wine (lots of it) at a local winery, or cooking French food with her sweetheart.
